Tired of sitting in a stuffy office talking about how stuck you feel? Let’s take therapy outside.
Walk & talk therapy is exactly what it sounds like — instead of meeting in a traditional office, we meet at a local park in Pinellas or Pasco County and walk side by side while we talk through what’s going on in your life.
This approach is perfect for people who feel anxious, restless, or uncomfortable sitting still. If your brain races, your nervous system’s on edge, or you just think better when you’re in motion, walk & talk therapy can help you process things in a calm, grounded environment — without the pressure of eye contact or four walls closing in.
Walk & talk therapy is an evidence-based approach that combines the benefits of traditional talk therapy with the mood-boosting effects of movement and nature.
Adolescents and young adults often feel more at ease in informal settings. Walking during therapy can reduce the pressure of direct eye contact and create a more relaxed atmosphere, encouraging open communication.
Engaging in physical activity during therapy sessions can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. Walking releases endorphins, enhances mood, and promotes relaxation, making it easier for clients to process emotions and thoughts.
Clients interested in integrating physical well-being with mental health may prefer walk and talk therapy. This approach addresses the mind-body connection, promoting overall wellness through movement and nature immersion.

And yes — walking is always at your pace. This is therapy, not bootcamp.
We’ll meet at a park in Pinellas or Pasco County — like Eagle Lake Park or Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park— and walk for the duration of your 50-minute session. I’ll handle confidentiality and logistics (we’ll make sure we’re in quieter areas of the park), and you bring yourself, some comfy shoes, and whatever’s weighing on your mind.
It really depends on how bad it is and your personal comfort levels. We can always switch to a virtual session if needed — no stress. I'll most likely be reaching out to you ahead of time if bad weather is predicted.
Great question! The answer is no. We will meet virtually first for your intake session. This is so we can get familiar with each other first, discuss any questions or concerns you may have about walk & talk sessions, and determine if you're a good fit for walk & talk sessions.
Not at all. We go at your pace, and we can sit on a bench or take breaks anytime.
If you want to! If you don't want to walk, we can just find a place to sit down and have our session. Being outside getting natural sunlight can still be mood boosting without actually walking.
Since we'll be active, I suggest wearing clothes that are comfortable to move around in. Close toed shoes are a must. I will most likely be wearing yoga pants, sneakers, and some kind of oversized t-shirt.
I encourage you to bring a water bottle that you don't mind carrying with you and a snack to keep either in your pocket or your car.
Unfortunately not... All walk & talk sessions will have to be paid out-of-pocket at my self-pay rate of $140/session.
If you’re looking for walk and talk therapy in Pinellas County or Pasco County, Florida, and want therapy that actually meets you where you are — emotionally and physically — let’s take the first step together.
